    The Program

Session 1:In this course we will start by talking about the interface and how we can navigate inside the application. After that we will learn the navigation methods that we can utilize inside nuke so you can manipulate all the tools within the program.►Session 2:After you know how to manipulate the workspace inside nuke, we will teach you the difference between working with layers and nodes. Working with nodes is a more efficient and versatile way of compositing because we have the power to manipulate every single aspect of our images.►Session 3:

The next chapter is going to be all about the viewers and every single aspect of the power of manipulating channels inside nuke. With this obligation we have the opportunity to create custom layers of data that we can use in conjunction with other objects in our compositions. Learning how to use the viewport is really important because that’s where everything happens visually and if we have a complete idea of how we can get access to all these powerful tools the compositing process will be a lot easier.

    Session 4:

The next part of our training will be about transforming operations, reformatting elements, resolution, the bounding box and some other operations that will allow you to place your images correctly.

    ►Session 5:

Channels is what creates our digital images, that is why we have a complete chapter dedicated to understand how channels in nuke work and the ability to use channel sets. You will learn how to create channels, how to call them, trace, rename, remove and swap. After this chapter you will have a clear understanding of how channels are used to create better compositions.

    ►Session 6:

A composition is not a composition if we don’t use the right tools to create a seamless image. In this chapter we will take a look at all the different methods of merging images together inside nuke. Merge operations are something really important because they allow you to fuse pixels with very specific results.
In this chapter you also are going to learn how to generate contact sheets and how to use them. At the end of this chapter you will have a strong foundation about managing images together with great results.

    ►Session 7:

Color correction is a must if you are pursuing the visual effects career. Color correction inside nuke is pretty easy if you know how to manipulate the right tools. In this chapter you will learn how to use histograms, how to sample white and black points (highlights and shadows), how to make a basic color correction and how to use different types of tools including hue, saturation, values and masks. The final part of this session will teach you how to apply some effects like grain and all other realistic optical details.
By the end of this chapter you will have the power of color correct, a complete foundation about applying mathematical operations to channels and color space.

    ►Session 8:

The last session in this training is about applying transformations in 2 1/2 dimensions. You will learn how to use the card3d node, specify order operations, choose a filter algorithm and use 3-D handles so that you can manipulate objects in 3-D space.
At the end of this chapter you will know the importance of using motion blur within your compositions to achieve a more realistic feeling.

    ►Session 9:

Tracking and stabilizing is imperative if you are trying to place a 3D object as part of your composition or if you simply want to change a logo from a billboard on a moving plate. In this session you are going to use the 2-D tracking system inside nuke and at the end of this session you will know how to activate track anchors, how to position track anchors and how to calculate, edit and retrack a portion of a track.

    ►Session 10:

This session is all about the keying with the prematte node. With a practical example you will learn how to auto compute parameters to get a basic removal of unwanted areas and select, clean and ad noise to the background or foreground manually.

    ►Session 11:

This session of our training is all about previewing and rendering. At the end of this chapter you will have a strong foundation about render resolution, formats, outputs and how to generate sequences of images using different methods to properly name and arrange your sequences.
